I have not heard about this event in the US until my colleagues were talking about it. He told me to search Ariel Castro on YouTube to see what they were talking about - they were chit chatting aloud while I was working on my workstation. When I got home, I checked Ariel Castro and saw this Cleveland OH captives. It was a horrifying story and the captives were imprisoned in Castro's house for 11 years. There were three captives - Michelle, Amanda and Gina. Castro described himself as sex predator on his letter found by the police. He raped the girls. The girls were rescued in 2013. Castro was sentenced life imprisonment with $8M bail. And eventually he was found dead in his prison cell. He committed suicide.

I remember that case. He deserved what he did to himself.

@jobelbojel I doubt it. He probably wished he didn't get caught.

I followed this story, and have been watching the progress of the girls since. Truly, this man acted in an evil way and paid the consequence.

@JustBhem Yes, they are safe. However, I thinking and praying at the same time that this type of monstrous acts won't materialize to others.

I have no idea about this. I watched it on Youtube and found out about this monster Ariel Castro. His last name sounded like Filipino but he is Spanish, right?

Hispanic. He was a bus driver and known by neighbors to be a good person.
