Horse racing

My husband and I went to the local horse racing track today. I am not much of a gambler, and we only bet small amounts of money ($3 per race) Today we won 2 out of 3, but because we only bet small amounts we only win small amounts. Today we won $2. We are not doing it for the money, but it is always nice to win...
We visit the horse racing track because we like the atmosphere. My father used to work there. He was not a jockey, he and didn't have anything to do the with the horses. He had a management job. My father, my brother and I often went to the horse racing track together and he introduced us to his coworkers from the management team. I have many happy memories from that place.

Yes, it fun to watch it. Sometimes we just watch the races with betting any money. It is cold at the moment and we usually watch the races inside (through the window) In the summer we like to stand outside.

@leny34 I think that I would feel cold if I had to do it, but maybe they are used to it. They have races all year except January. The place was crowded today, but we managed to find a place by the window.

Yes, it is interesting to see the races. Sometimes we don't bet any money, we just watch the races.

It is not for everyone. I like to go there because I have many happy memories from the place. (from the time when my father worked there)

@LadyDuck My aunt and my cousin used to have horses. The first time I rode a horse I was a small child, but I have never had my own horse.

I have seen both. There used to be dog races at the horse racing track. I don't think they exist anymore, but I saw them a few times when my father worked there.
