No. It's a Christmas cactus. It's not edible.

@leny34 when it blooms you will see the bloom is much different and much smaller than a dragon fruit even though this plant is the right color.

@MarshaMusselman oh, the tree is almost like a dragon fruit if it's still small ...
but in my opinion it's good

My results aren't as produce as others either because of my lighting it because I rarely water it. Granted it needs less water but I think it needs more than i give it.

I wonder how often the Christmas cactus blooms for your mother-in-law? It appears that it's bloomed three times for me this winter. This time in November, again at Christmas and again at Easter. I know most will bloom twice per year and it could be because my whole plant doesn't bloom at one time. I've been lucky to only get one to five areas that bloom.

Since I barely water this one throughout the year I'm always happy and blessed to see it blooms one more. Since I trimmed it up quite a bit I'm hoping more of it blooms this time around. Normally only half blooms. I've always attributes that to me not w watering it at all until I see it doing something.

I have to look back and see when that was I shared about it before. That will help me know whether it needs water or how much.
