I didn't want to say anything here before I knew the results. Now since I know my results, I will share the story.
Two weeks ago, I had my yearly mammogram. I had mentioned how my sister had breast cancer and had survived etc.
It was my gynecologist who got me set up for the mammogram, and it was the same doctor who then called me a little over a week ago saying I needed to have a breast ultrasound because of suspicious tissue.
The breast ultrasound was scheduled for earlier this week on Monday. I told the technician that 20 years prior, I had a doctor who told me my breasts were "fibrous" like. I mentioned that to my Mom at the time and she said her doctor had said the same about hers.
I have been very nervous the past couple of days, thinking I may have Cancer and die etc.
This morning I got a call from the gynecologist's office saying the results of the breast ultrasound was normal and to follow up with your yearly mammogram next year!
I am so relieved! I am thinking they wanted to be extra cautious because some women can still get breast cancer even having their yearly mammogram, which was my Sister's case.

Yes that is true. I am sure by mentioning my Sister's problem encouraged the doctor to do extra tests on me.
