It's starting to come together

The photo shows the Music Shack complete with Christmas-type decorations. We are holding a concert here on Sunday and the audience will sit on the grass in front of the Shack. I suppose it looks a bit sparse but the stage mostly gets filled with speakers and musicians and very few notice the decorations very much. When people start arriving it will look a bit better than bare walls.
On the back wall we have hung curtains then some leftover shade-cloth that friends donated to us. The side walls are blue shade-cloth that we bought. I’m not sure what shade-cloth would be called in other countries but in Australia it’s put on patio rooves or on shade/green houses to block out the sun.
And the latest joke I heard: Did you know that, after ten years, the hide and seek champion of the world was found in a cupboard?

I had a photo of Emily Barker so I've done a post about her.

Organising concerts in one's own yard is very romantic. Not many do this. You are right about the set up looking great when people start filling up.
I wish you success.

Thanks. It is quite a bit of work but people enjoy the chance to sit in the open air and be entertained by musicians.

It is just the one night. We have another in January with different artists and again one in March.

The lights won't go up till Saturday. If I remember I'll take another photo then.

I love a clever joke and think that this fits in that category.

Funny joke! It reminds me of how many times I misplaced my older daughter when she was small. I lost that child more times than I care to remember. She was always safe and she was always somewhere in the house I either couldn't remember where I set her down, or she crawled away and ended up under or behind something.

I guess after the first dozen times you'd search five or ten minutes before starting to panic. :)

If it looks too bare at the finish we'll put a bit more stuff up.
