Plastic bags.

Good evening friends. I was thinking about what I would write and I remembered that I had an ideal theme, and that's plastic bags. They are very much used in my country and they end up in the streets, the forests, the rivers and the land becomes more polluted. A few months ago, a new law came that says that if you want a plastic bag, you have to pay. And people are now increasingly buying plastic bags because they do not want to pay. They started wearing their bags. Starting next year, a law will be introduced in the capital to ban full use of plastic bags in order to reduce pollution. How about plastic bags in your country?

It is a good law. It was supposed to think about ecology earlier, but it's good to think now too.

@Moon24 Yes, we began to think because we do not want extra spending, not because we care about nature.

You're right. There's a lot of wild dumps and nobody is doing anything about it.

@Nevena83 yes it is awful.I cringe when I see a shopping cart full of plastic bad.Not sure why they do not bring their own bags.I always wanted to say something to them. But not a good idea. Most will take it the wrong way.

@amadeo Yes, people are very cruel and behave to others and to where they are by nature. We are such a nation that only monetary fines make us think a bit, but it also takes a short time.

A law was implemented against the use of plasric bags. Thus people are niw using reusable bags or what we call ecobags instead to put the things they shopped. If you don't have one they are anyway plced in a paper bag which is so inconvenient specially whe n you shopped for heavy products. But you can always buy ecobag right there from the cashier.

They have not been ejected from us yet, but people take them less because they have to pay for them now. I hope that soon they will get used to wear linen bags. There are no paper bags in our country.

@SIMPLYD You're right. I watched only in American movies when people were carrying foods in paper bags and I always wondered if the bags were so strong, so they could hold up a lot of foods in it.

the plastic bags here, we use them to collect our kitchen trash; we tie them securely for disposal.

@ridingbet But as if we do not have the basic knowledge of contamination, we throw the garbage on the street as if we do not know that it destroys the place where we live.

I know that in some countries every house has bins for storing plastic, glass ... I think it's a very good solution.

I reuse the bags in small garbage pails at home and then they go out in the garbage. I can't imagine polluting the woods with my plastic bags.

People in our country, even in the vicinity of the container, throw their bags on the streets, throw out the bins even while driving a car. :(

We see plastic bags in the stores. If we bring them home with groceries or other things, we toss them into the recycle box and they are picked up by the weekly garbage company. They are never just tossed into mother natures beauty. That photo is disgusting...can't imagine people just tossing then away...

I'm glad you're doing well in your country. We are a country that has a lot of nature, but people destroy it with plastic. There is almost no penalty. At every step you can see something like this.

There's already a widespread ban on plastic bags here in my province but there are a few exceptions. We now bring our own produce bags to the grocery. The paper bags that we get from shops are used to line our trash bins here at home. I still buy plastic bags for garbage disposal but I make sure that they're made from biodegradable materials like corn husk for example. Apparently, they biodegrade in 6 months.

@Nevena83 We're slowly getting there. We still have a lot of cleaning up to do in this country. I think it's important that we educate our people first-hand about cleanliness and being environmentally aware.

It's very nicely arranged in your country. There are very few bags that are biodegradable in our country. People here still do not have this conscience about environmental protection.

I think they should ban single use plastic bags, they are unnecessary, I try my best to remember to take reusable ones but I often forgot, it would be much better if I had no choice.
