I'm ready for the new Mary Poppins!

I love the old Mary Poppins movie with Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke and have seen it many times. But, come December 19th, there is an all new movie with some really exciting people in it. Emily Blunt has the temerity to take on the leading role, backed up by Meryl Streep, Lin Manuel Miranda ( the creator of the musical, Hamilton), Angela Lansbury, Colin Firth and even an appearance by Dick Van Dyke himself at age 91.
The story is that Mary Poppins returns to once again help the Banks children (grandchildren too) and their parents through a rough spot.
With all the violence in our world, with amoral blather from the White House, with Brexit teetering along and wars, fires and floods, what could be better than spending a couple of hours with the magic of Mary Poppins?

I have seen the original movie many times and still enjoy watching it to this day. I also look forward to the new Mary Poppins, but more so because I think Emily Blunt is very beautiful!

Poor Julie---and poor fans--to have lost her voice, her beautiful voice but she has done a lot since then and she will always be heard singing in The Sound of Music and, of course, Mary Poppins!
I really don't know if I want to see the sequel.
