Poor People Aren't Allowed To Make Money?

A police questioned us why are we in Michigan and our plate is Ohio? We had tons of bottle returns in the back of the car. Eric's mom lives in Michigan. Bottles and cans belong to her. Police were interrogating Eric when I came back from the store to grab a cart. The police didn't want to believe us and wanted to check the bottles? Eric was like "Be my guest!" This guy! It's upsetting, though. People who are trying to make decent money are being questioned. What do they want? People to steal? Thank you so much, officer. Hats off to your compassionate heart.

Here, in Alberta we can only return beverage containers purchased in Alberta. A friend got stopped bringing containers from another province. Could it be something like that?

That's what the cop was saying. What's funny was when he said he will get out of the patrol and check the bottles. I used my car because mom was feeling under the weather and she lives in Michigan.

It is out of hand, I duck my head anytime I see a police officer. They not being very good at their job lately and this pretty much sums up what I see here also. People straight hate poor people and looking to kick them when they are down. It is quite disturbing and sickening, maddening. I am not very proud of our country right now. I am so happy not in military anymore, because no way I could motivate my self to protect this kind of behavior.

@Deajae72 Indeed, and saddest thing is they complain whine, but do nothing to at least steer them in right direction. They more or less saying stop being poor and then I will talk to you like a human being. I thought we were done with this crap but apparently not.

I came from a military family. Eric and his family served the country. My grandpa was a chief of police and my cousin is a police and I have high respect to them. I know there are some good men in uniform. But, if a person is trying his best to make ends meet, do not give them a hard time. They don't mean harm to the society.

Such scene also happens here, they ask because maybe these cops do it. They are always suspicious of their fellows. Your hubby is cool.

I don't know anymore. People are doing what they can to make a little money, in a decent manner. Ugh!
