Christmas decorations

Do you buy new trinkets every year for Christmas decorations?
I don't. A couple of years ago I got tired of store bought stuff and decided to make some myself.. I tinkered with some home made air dry clay and made a lot of trinkets that were not perfect but unique in their own way.
This year I am not planning on decorating much, so I may just pull out the old stuff and maybe a dd a couple of new pieces to the collection.
I still don't have too many ideas on what to make, but it I am sure the inspiration will come sooner than later.
I love playing around with air dry clay. What are your hobbies like?

I have always bought them online although we did create our Xmas tree using bamboo sticks.

We don't go overboard with decorations, we don't normally spend much time in the house over the holidays to enjoy them between visiting family and work. My mum used to make sugar dough decorations they were lovely. I am more into paper crafts x

@Shellyjane Nice to know that... many people spend so much on decorations.. your mom used to make salt dough or fondant decorations? ( cause I haven't heard of sugar dough) I love paper crafts too... one needs to be very skilled at that.. not me lol

I also don`t buy yearly any Christmas decorations because I kept the old ones very good to be used again in the following years

I bought a few new ornaments last year but probably won't get anything new this year.

I like to make my own Christmas decorations, I think like that they more special to me. I crocheted and knitted ornaments, I also knitted Santa Claus and his wife and a knitted crib. I also try to make recycled decorations.

@sofssu My grandma taught me to knit when I was very small, but on Youtube there are a lot of videos for beginners, if you have patience you can start with the basic stitches: purl and knit. You are never too old to learn something new.
