traffic jam made me late to work

this morning i came late in my workplace. in the mid of my way to workplace right before a tunnel / unnderpass, all vehicles stuck in a huge traffic jam. we didnt know what happened. i saw some police blocked the road.
and finally i had to go to find another way but taking longer time to reach, i i knew from friend there was truck accident.
i think the police must be aware to prevent such jam. they should work better. if the block road without giving solution or give notice in the T junction , traffic jam wont happen.

It's such a disgusting thing specially when we are in a hurry to go important places. The action should be taken immediately by the police to avoid the traffic jam.
