Spiritual Bonding

Last Saturday, Nov. 24, some of my HS batchmates and I , met at the mall our company manages. Some brought their mother and family.
We as Catholics, had our spiritual bonding, different from our usual leisurely bondings that I posted here.
Some of the relics of St. Padre Pio from the Reliquarium in Manila , were made to be displayed temporarily at the mall’s chapel, where devotees can visit and see them from Nov. 25 -27 before returning them back to reliquarium again.
Outside the chapel, at the celebration plaza, monoblock chairs were placed so everyone can seat and hear the healing mass that was officiated by two priests.
The whole celebration plaza was filled with devotees. A lot weren’t able to receive the holy eucharist because the priests ran out of supply.
But I suppose that is okay, because the intention to receive the holy eucharist was in everyone, as they lined up for a long time only to be told by the priests that they ran out of supply.
Sad, that they didn’t anticipate the large numbers of devotees.
There was an anointing of the oil too for everyone. It took place from 6:30 to almost 11;00 in the evening for everyone to be anointed.
It was one happy and first spiritual bonding like that for all of us. I was teary eyed from happiness and emotion while listening to the homily of the priest, for a big gathering of devotees like this.
Of course, after that we ate dinner at the restaurant of one of the batchmates.
Have you experienced a big gathering of devotees like this too?

Yes, i agree to that. We have lots of priests from our province.
And this activity is an affirmation of how religious the people here are.

I have been to charismatic meetings where we bonded and healing masses but never anything quite like what you experience, it sounds lovely.

I have never been in a charistmatic meetings. But my cousin who is a charismatic member, always do.
Healing masses, I do always attend, but not one like this too. This is my first time. And I get goosebumps seeing the devotion of the people.

Yes, it is a shame that they really didn't anticipate for many people, when the province is dominantly Catholics.

our house is so far from the cathedral so we cannot just join retreats and recollections of the church
