Even The Dog Is Pooped

@HazySue I am really waiting for the Christmas holidays to rest.

@LadyDuck I am waiting more for January. Things seem to go slower then.

I do need the rest. Maybe I will actually get a chance to do so in a few more days. Everything has been happening at the same time.

I have to shop @HazySue now that I can finally drive I have so much that needs to be replaced ...... too bad I couldn't have scheduled my surgery for January 2019

@rebelann Sometimes we just do what we have to do. Just take your time. Scheduling surgery is sometimes not an option. Hope you are feeling better.

Thankfully the surgery went well @HazySue now I am simply taking it easy for a few months just to make sure that it won't come undone. I feel great, thanks.

That's my laugh for the morning. I am still trying to get back into the swing of things.

@HazySue so true. I love having fun and being busy but I pay the price by being tired afterwards.

@Marilynda1225 We are like the Everyready battery, we keep going and going and going...until we don't have to anymore.

It was a wonderful time, now I need to recharge the body. Funny how the more fun you have the tireder you end up being.

@HazySue You know, I would too. I wonder what the life of a writer is like. It can't possibly be sitting at a keyboard for 14 hours a day trying to come up with passable prose. It can't possibly mean spending hours researching and still missing some valuable information. It can't possibly mean trying to market what you write and have no book sales for all your efforts. No, the life of a writer must be words that flow easy on a page, the rough draft is the final draft, and the publisher loves it and you're an instant overnight best seller and all you need to do is show up at the book signing that is three people across and two blocks deep out the door. I wish that were the life of a writer. However, it's the first scenario. Words that come slow, fast, or steady and the multiple hours of research, followed by endless revisions in editing until it's finally ready to send to the publisher and then you get rejection letter after rejection letter until some hopeful publisher sees the nugget of gold in your work and decides to take a chance on you. Here's to the writing life. I finished the NaNoWriMo challenge with 60,122 words. I'll be posting about it later today.

@just4him I do know that the life of a writer is not all fun and games. It is hard work and exhausting. I would love if it were easy and words just flowed. My idea of life as a writer is being able to write without all the interruptions that life brings. To be able to spend time on research without having to worry about leaving something else undone. I guess there is no life that can offer up the time to do what you want, when you want, and not worry about anything or anyone else.

I will not be doing this at Christmas. It will be a very quiet holiday for us. I would love to live the life of a writer.

Have fun cleaning. Don't work too hard.

It is a relief when company leaves. I hate to see them go but still...

It does tend to pile up during the holidays. I am still trying to rest. We have been running around getting things done to sell the other house and getting our medical stuff taken care of.

We love the cream pies in this house. We had turtle pie that went so fast it turned into a blur. Luke is a sweetheart, he was so good with the kids.

I am no longer used to having that many people around me, especially the ones that are under the age of 21.

He was so exhausted. He had a great time while they were here playing and such.

I certainly did. It will be a while before I will do that again.

All are relatives. My daughters, grandchildren, in-laws.

Sometimes I feel more creative when it is raining.
