Which is Bernardo Bertolucci's best movie? / myLot

A famous Italian movie director Bernardo Bertolucci passed away yesterday. I heard that his best movie is called 1900. I checked that this move lasts about 5 hours 17 minutes. This is a very long time for a movie. Did anybody watch it before? Is it a very good movie?

No, it's boring, a too much long and boring movie, I only watched a little bit and did not continue.

@LadyDuck Actually The Last Emperor is was also a famous movie here. After all, it was filmed in the Forbidden City and at that time rare foreigners would make a film in my country. In fact I am much more impressed to its music much more.

I never liked Bertolucci movies, starting from his very criticized "Last Tango in Paris", with Marlon Brando, a realgarbage in my opinion. I have not watched 1900, because it's too long and I liked none of his others movies I watched.

@youless I doubt, it would have been 4 boring episodes. The movies has a poor rating from those who have seen it.
