Another good sitcom from the late 70s to the late 80s was The Facts of Life. It is about the life of a group of boarding school girls and their happy times and trials. They are led by a kind Housemother.

Yes this was one of my favorites :) I still can watch reruns late at night. Sadly the lady that played Ms Garret (Charlotte Rae) just passed away earlier this year :(

it was shown here, too, and i always looked forward to what blair, the rich girl, would be wearing and would laugh at how clueless she was sometimes about the lives of ordinary people.
