The Walking Dead: Which Six Characters Would You Keep?

First, an explanation. I read yesterday that the show The Walking Dead continues to lose viewers. It is my opinion a large part of the reason behind that is the show has too large of an ensemble cast and that is causing popular characters to be reduced to cameo roles or get completely lost in the shuffle. Because of this, I think the best thing the series could do is find a way to wipe out all but six of those survivors and essentially start over with a streamlined cast. I'm assuming the show's writers won't follow this advice. But, if it were to actually happen, which six characters do you think should make the final cut? My list would be as follows: Daryl and Carol - Both because they deserve some respect for being with the series since season 1 and because they have survival skills (I am, for the purposes of this discussion, also assuming the various communities would be destroyed too). Michonne and Judith - Judith makes the cut to pay homage to the departed Rick and maybe give the show a do-over for the poorly-used Carl while Michonne gets to be her mother figure and finally gets to show off her fighting skills again. And, yes, I would be heartless and have her mystery child (who I'm assuming is also Rick's) killed off. One kid is enough, thank you. Eugene - Tough decision on this one because I think he is an annoying character. But, the group needs someone that can come up with unique solutions to get them out of a bad situation and he seems like the perfect character for that. Negan - I would have him join the survivor group as a reformed villain/anti-hero or, in other words, a re-vised version of Merle Dixon. It's just not a zombie apocalypse show unless there's a member of the group that will cross questionable lines and can't be fully trusted.
