To Poop Or Not to Poop

In the morning I drink a lot of coffee, and it seems nothing gets the plumbing working like a few good, steeping, hot cups of coffee. So, what is it that makes the bowels get to working into overtime? Is it the caffeine? Is it the hot water? Is it a placebo effect? Does coffee make you go? What say you? Because this is an entirely fascinating topic and inquiring minds want to know. Does coffee make you do the deed? God, I REALLY must be at a loss for what to post here. This is the crappiest topic to date. Please forgive me.

Yes, coffee first thing in the morning usually means a good start to the day. And here is a 'poop' cake. It's meant to be horse poop.

Although your post stinks . . It is worth discussing. If one does not poop for 2 days, he/she gets headache. I am sure coffee does not push the poop down the throne. Drink 4 to 5 glasses of water in the morning and that will solve the problem.

@porwest Water with coffee . . . that should always be . . . coz there is no such thing as "take your cup of coffee without water in the morning".

This really is a crappy topic. I don't drink coffee, but hey, if it works, go for it.

lol. It is a crappy topic, isn't it? I DO love my coffee, but not to make me go, although it does. I just really like my coffee in the morning. But I only ever drink it in the mornings. Rarely, if ever, will you ever find me drinking coffee any other time of the day.

I heard its the caffeine it stimulates the intestine and allows to pass fecal matter. The bad thing is not good to do that can cause issues later because it acts as a laxative. I went through this very same thing before I went vegan. As Andria Perry pointed out to eat lots of fiber food no you will not sit on the toilet all day, at 1st you might go several times but once your system clears out everything you will have a happier bowel and will go at normal about 2 times a day without stressing everything..

I will never, ever go vegan. Just no way. We are not supposed to be vegan. We are naturally omnivores. Most vegans I know are some of the most unhealthy people I know. I'll stick with my coffee and my meat.

OMG!!! But I´ll answer. I eat cooked tender corn as a salad. The whole corn kernels does the trick.

Regularity is something I cherish. When I was younger I had a few problems with it. If I miss a day these days it's a bad day. So I do whatever I can to not miss a day.

At least I'm sure you have a few of us laughing out loud, literally. Funny picture you found too. I don't know why it is, but invariably coffee does have that effect especially when I'm not home. If I'm home then it's 50/50.

I'm not sure what the effects of coffee are. But it's a part of my morning ritual. I'm as regular as Old Faithful. A couple of weeks ago, I had two days where I could have rivaled Old Faithful if you turned me upside down. Must have been something I ate. But I'm better now.

I do not drink coffee, but they say that it is a probiotic and that people afterwards usually end up in the toilet.

I think my body is just on a schedule. I seem to go at the same time each morning no matter what. P.S. love "this is the crappiest topic to date"
