Resting before getting ready for work.

In about an hour and a half I will have to get up and shower and prepare myself for work. Regular shift at BK tonight, four pm to midnight. Which means I'll be home about 1230 or so. I quit at Dollar Tree yesterday, because it wasnt going to work trying to work both of them. I work five days a week at BK. Eight hour shifts. I am kind of sad about leaving DT. But I'll survive. And I'll get to see them whenever I shop. Plus one of my favorite managers lives about five minutes away from us. We went and saw her and her husband yesterday. So there's a little update on me. I don't know how active I'll be here today. It's been a crazy couple of weeks.

Receiving a large paycheck is nice, but not worth the risk of losing sleep and other anxieties that may come with it! You didn't say anything negative but when I was working I just wouldn't stop at any cost to my health. 80+ hours a week was regular for me.

It's too bad that the two places won't work. But at least you still have something.

I work four pm to midnight and they wanted me at DT between five and seven am in the morning. I can't do that.

@thislittlepennyearns No, that's not going to happen for sure. It would be hard on anyone.

At least the one manager lives close by and you can see her whenever you would like. I think you did the right thing by quitting DT especially with BK paying more and you getting more hours with them. I think it will all work out fine.

Regular 8-hour shifts sound good.

The DT era ends. You will be putting in full 40 hour weeks which I assume is a better paycheck for you.

Much better. Eighty hours on my paycheck instead of thirty or forty. Yeah it'll be better.

I'm sorry that you had to leave that job, but you have to do what's good for you. Enjoy your shift tonight at work and don't work too hard.

I'll survive. It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to get here.

What is your position at BK?
