They are So Rude

Apartment hunting is still on going. I have searched online. Talked to different owners and caretakers. I walked kilometers and traveled east to west. I found one that is cheaper than my current rent. One day, I went to the location of my old apartment. On the light post, I saw a posting that said "Unit for Rent". I immediately messaged the mobile number. And the owner replied "Pls call" (that was the exact text). So I called. "The number cannot be reached". And I texted. "Cannot be reached". After 15 minutes, I attempted to call. And the call went through. I wanted to know details on the posting and the lady on the other line with a stern voice "So what is your question, make it fast". I was shocked and I did not say any word. I waited for her to hang up at least I was not rude if I stayed silent for a moment. And yesterday, I went on foot to search for an apartment. I knew there are lots of it near the mall. So I went and indeed there were lots of signages that read "Apartment / room for rent". I saw a 3-storey building and was about to dial the number when a woman burst out with "what do you need from there?" And I politely say, "I am here to inquire". She immediately asked "How much is your budget?". I humbly say "7,000". And she replied in a sarcastic voice "there is none like that. I got 11,000 and 13,000". And then I continued to ask but don't need to pursue the rental. Do you still pursue renting if the person answering your query is rude or sarcastic?

They are not trained. What is showing politeness even if they don't mean it.

the attitude of both owners seem to be "i can be arrogant with anyone because you need me, i don't need you." they know they can easily find new renters. i hope you find one within your budget and with the nice landlord/landlady.

Exactly. I am the one who needs a shelter. I am not pleased at all with their attitude though. Just so rude to me. Thank you. I have an appointment today.

@hereandthere my housemate left. It will be me and my brother who will continue the rent here. I am looking for 3k lesser. I have found other options but there are some areas I don't like. For safety reasons. If I decide to stay here in the current place, I will be paying more. But my brother said he will give. I am okay with it. I am just thinking of the savings.

That is unheard of! How awfully rude. I'd keep looking and not deal with a creep like that.

Nah, I don't need to deal with such a rude landlady. For sure I will be having a rough day especially when the rent day is on.

That is true. But I have to move on and transact with another owner. At the end of the day, I am just a renter.

@jobelbojel Maybe the right place will just happen along. Could you move in with someone to share costs?

She thinks she will have those customers forever huh? that's not a very friendly land lord. Meh, she will have her KARMA something being too proud of her apartment. Don't pursue it anymore. Not to mention there are scammers out there so watch out.

They are rude. And today I went looking again. But this time the staff was polite during my tour. First, I went to the QC area. The one I saw online was a nice place. Ground, 3rd and 4th floors are the available units. 4th flooe has the cheapest rent. However, there is a downside. It is far from work and it is traffic. It is either I stay here with my very nice and kind landlady and landlord.

@jobelbojel i think it is better to stay in a place with accommodating landlords/landladies rather than staying in a comfortable place but with rude people around.
