Driving With The Devil

I was beginning to question my own sanity the longer I stayed with him. His smile, his gentle, persuasive tone, all of it was beginning to lull me into a false sense of safety. It mattered little that I knew better, that I knew he was a cunning, silver tongued devil. His words were seeping into my very marrow, penetrating my sense of preservation. Run with him for a little while. That's all I thought it would take. Agree to go with him, so he left my family and those innocent diners alone. Now he was weaving such a pretty tale, and warping my memories of the past few hours. What had happened to that family we'd picked up? I can remember sliding over to let the man and his son in the back with me, and I can remember the pleasantries that were passed between us and them, but that's all I can recall. Did they survive? I was supposed to make sure they survived, but I can't even remember the sun setting and the darkness falling. It must be nearly midnight now. Again, this is part of a dream I had. I wrote another snippet earlier. I may or may not write a third piece.

haha. I'd have to use creative liberties to say they survived. In the actual dream, I am not sure what happened to them.

@mischellesagario You can control your dreams but you need to practice at it. Many years ago I learned how to be more conscious in my dreams and ask questions whilst in the drema state.

@Courage7 Perhaps, but I am not sure where to begin with that. I have an uncle who told me I should start a patreon. Maybe I should.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am telling the truth is all. You could make some money if you would write more and put them on somewhere to sell maybe.

Weird dream, be careful before following someone, this is a warning.

I am not so sure that this one was a warning per se, atleast not in that respect. The actual dream and the way I have written it out differ a bit.

@LadyDuck That is very disturbing! I would have woken up form that and not been able to go back to sleep.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I had a weird and disturbing dream last night. People being killed on the upper floor of a place where I was having dinner. Horrible.

Sounds like you rescue and retrieve souls in your dream life. That is a very commendable position to hold.

If I do, it's just a one time thing. I don't believe I've ever dreamt anything like this before. The "demon" wasn't exactly good or bad. I haven't really let that shine through in these little glimpses, but in the actual dream I never thought he was completely evil.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm happy to hear you say you didn't actually perceive the 'demon' as being good or bad. Most demons are only demons in how we perceive them. I wouldn't doubt that you have done many retrievals that you don't remember. OR perhaps youare only just now being introduced to retrievals to see how you respond. You know many people don't appear to dream at all. And many who do have great difficulty recalling them.

@Namelesss I don't believe that no one dreams. I've had people tell me that before, that they don't dream. Everyone dreams, even if they don't recall them. A lot of my dreams, especially the ones I remember with vivid detail, are trying to tell me something. Some are premonition in nature, and some I feel are family trying to reach out. I've also had two dreams that have been recurring since I was a young child. They only come to me once a year, and over the past several years one has changed a great deal, but they both still come to me.
