Please guys help me.your advice is valuable for some one

Hi friends I have need of your support as most of people here belongs to christianity.I am living in Kashmir .where almost population is of muslims.but before few months a Christian family from out of my state come in my neighbour on rent.head of family is mason he have four kids .due to winters he is not going on work .even he is not able to pay rent.as Christmas is coming and I know he is not able to celebrate. One of my friend wants to help him but he is feeling afraid how I offer him help .may be he will take it as insult or feel guilty.i did not know a lot about life style of Christians as I met with some one from Christian community first time so please advice me....

This is an opportunity to get to know someone, he has a story to tell. Many of us have the same problem that is the cost of living. If you see him somewhere, looking for help, offer him some help, he will appreciate it. You will be able to start talking, see where he came from, what happened to him... Christmas is sure a day to celebrate, but, not the money and the food are the main goal, the love and friendliness among the people is the thing to celebrate, that's something universal for all of the holidays.

@syeow1 That is a problem if someone doesn't want to ask for help, he has his pride, he doesn't trust others and trusts only about himself. I also have problem asking for help from others, even though, I sometimes ask for help. Maybe he has some help from another resource ?

I think you can gift him a box of cake and a big star to hang. Or first of all try to be his friend and then know the rules of Christmas.

Is he unable to work? The only thing you can do is offer. He shouldn't be insulted by it unless it's the culture he comes from. I know I wouldn't be insulted with an offer of help.

@syeow1 meaning he can only work on the nice months? It is the same for us washing windows. Although here in America it's a bit easier finding work to do during the winter months. You can ask if there's something you can do. Or u if he seems upset but your offer you can let him know if he changes his mind he can contact you. later
