any one in the us ever do a 1040x?

what a 1040x it a amndet to the 1040 tax retrun. why I ask for me I should
of had over $1000. tax refund come back all I got was $400. and some change
what I found out the free serivce I use said that I did not have health insurance for 2017 which I did have i was chage a fine of $695.00 this is why I have do a 1040x so I can fix it and get more of my refund back..and I mad at ny state they will not let me do paper so I can get my ny state tax refund back the free tax thing want over $40.00 to do ny state tax which I do not have. there only like$100. from ny state refund coming back to me. so I am looking for a way to do ny state refund I have all copy of my taxes on my hard drive so all i have to is print it out then talk to some one who might help that the problem

Hi! I understand your frustration. I used to work for H&R Block, so I have done a 1040x form before. I might be able to help you. If not, I may know somebody who can. What free service did you use? If there's a mistake, it's possibly their responsibility to fix your problem.

Hi it was one of those free on line serivce from ny state and the IRS, I know what the mistake is they charge me for the health insurance and I do have the 1095-b
when I did as the instrution did I mark the box for health insurance for some reson
it got unmark, I have no idea why? thanks
