You are watching your favourite TV serial with rapt attention.Just at that time your friend enters and starts talking to you. How would you react? When this happens with me,I get irritated, but suppress my feelings. What about you?

I would turn off the TV and talk to my friend. I would be a little annoyed if it was something that I really wanted to watch ,but if my friend needs to talk about problems or other things, that is more important to me.

@Shivram59 I think that is a different situation. I understand why you find that annoying. It is different if people come over because they need to talk to you about something serious.

I have always preferred visits by appointment but there is nothing one can do if there are unannounced guests.

@Shivram59 You should gradually introduce the system of informing you before they knock on your door. One person I know opened the door and politely told the guests that she was on her way out. Guests had to leave (lol)

@anya12adwi Yes,I know.I'll see it for a week and if it continues to unnecessarily stretch the story,I'll stop watching it..For the same reason I had stopped watching Balika Vadhu.

@anya12adwi It is "Shakti. ...." - the love story of a young man and a transgender on coulours channel. Besides this I watch a comedy - "Bhabhiji ghar par hain. "My friends who visit me are my childhood friends.

I can recollect when we are watching something so eagerly any disturbance will irritate us. It is a natural phenomena.

@Sreekala You are right. It's a natural phenomenon. But now I have decided not to watch any other serial, because it often prevents me from spending time with my friends.

Sometimes we have to ask others to wait a minute if we are watching something important, such as information for a paper we are writing. If we are watching nonsense, it is easy enough to turn it off.

@PatAnthony It's not important. It's a TV serial and I found it interesting. Usually I watch news only. The story is so interesting that I don't like anybody to disturb me when I watch it.

If it is important, it is okay. If it is not, I will talk to my friend in commercial break.

@rakski That's what I do.But even their presence at that time prevents me from watching and enjoying it attentively. They,on the other hand, say I waste my time watching these trash.

@Karenmm Of course,if the guy comes to tell me something important,I'll postpone watching the serial and listen to him.But the problem is that my friends usually come to me to gossip only.

@Karenmm I'm told that if I'm able to pay more, then I can watch my favourite serials or TV programmes at a time suitable to me.....But I can't afford it.It's too costly.
