What a Way To Start My Day

United States
December 4, 2018 8:51am CST
My day started off as usual until I sat at the computer with my coffee to chat here for awhile. Lo and behold I had no internet connection. What a bummer. This really didn't start my day off on the right foot and my head wasn't ready to figure out what was wrong until after I had my coffee. I still don't know what happened but I reset the modem and the internet is back in business. For awhile there I was trying to figure out what I was going to do today if I couldn't get back online. I never think I use the internet that much in the course of a day but this certainly is a reality check. I love the internet!!!

These connections do play up and the first thing that one thinks is there is no data left. Good you reset your modem and all is well.

So glad you were able to reset your modem. When I have problems, I switch to cellular data on my phone or iPad. It has saved the day the few times I needed it.

My wifi has been playing up for a few days now.. I have finally told my service provider that this would be my last month with them.. All of us depend heavily on the wifi for our work, and I can't stand poor service.

I will say this to you, in a joking way. So, please take it that way. It could have been worse, your internet could have been running quick as a wink and your coffee pot not working. Perspective, right? I am very happy that it started back up again and that you did it yourself.

I had the Internet go off on me too a couple days ago. I look for the yellow triangle on the monitor icon. If it's there, I reboot and all is well. If it's not there, I unplug everything, wait about a minute then plug it all back in. It usually works then.

it happens when your provider is doing their regular maintenance . just a simple reset on your end will usually fix it.

Most of the time, resetting the modem works. It is indeed a tricky time till we get back online as we are used to it as a normal routine to stay connected - siva

Losing internet connection is like having a water interruption.
