A new doctor

Today I met my new doctor for the first time. I needed a new prescription for my antidepressants and my new doctor asked me to get an appointment. It went very well and I like her. I don't have a psychiatrist at the moment, so my doctor handles my medication.
I was nervous before I met her, because I had a really bad experience with the previous doctor who was very condescending and didn't listen to me. I am glad that I won't have to meet the previous doctor again. It was definitely the right decision to find a different doctor.

I am happy to hear that you found a different doctor. I was positively surprised when I met my new doctor. I liked her from the start and I happy that I decided to find a new one.

@tech40 Yes, it is hard to deal with that kind of doctor. My old doctor didn't listen to me and I really didn't like the way that she talked to me.

Yes, I feel that it is the right decision. I liked her and I feel comfortable with her.

That is true. It is so important to find the right person. I had a bad experience in the past, and I was worried about meeting the new doctor, but I like her a lot and I am happy that chose to find a different doctor.

@Porcospino Its easier to communicate and get the doctor to understand your needs when they are open and you feel comfortable/.

It's seems to be nerve racking to meet a doctor, I'm glad you like her and that she listens.

Yes, it was nerve racking. I had a bad experience in the past, but fortunately the new doctor seems to be much better. I am happy that I decided to get a new doctor.

Thanks. I think that the new doctor will be better and I got a good impression of her from the start. It is frustrating to have a doctor who doesn't listen and I am sorry to hear that you also experience that.

Yes, she seems nice and interested. She think that she is a lot better than the other doctor I had.

Many Danish doctors don't accept new patients, I think that is the biggest problem when we want to find a new doctor. There are few doctors to choose from. My new doctor is located in a village, and there aren't a lot of patients here, so they have room for new patients.
