Peanut butter..lol. hope I haven't posted this before 12-6-'18

So I seem to have always loved peanut butter. I feel so sorry for folks with peanut allergy When I carried lunch in school for a while, it was always a peanut butter sandwich. I would buy milk to go with it back then. These days I mostly have coffee with it. My late hubby always had it on his toast instead of butter.
I have a jar of it in my room just for snacking on it. I woke up with a real craving for it a few times just on a spoon. But so much harder it seems to swallow it these days.
Anyway, believe it or not back when I was 12 yrs, many,many yrs ago, in late 50's there was this really popular song everyone was going around singing and I hope to load the link to it. found on youtube. isn't that a strange popular song? anyone here remember it?

I love peanut butter and usually have it on toast most mornings for breakfast. A peanut butter sandwich was a favorite lunch when I was in school.

I'm allergic to peanuts, something nobody knew about when I was a kid in school when I took a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to school every day. I hated peanut butter. I was an adult when I realized I was allergic to peanut butter and found out what made my mouth itch so bad every time I ate it.
That song was educational. I wondered how they harvested and made peanut butter. I've never heard the song before.

@just4him now that you mention it, way back then it did have a bit of bitter taste if not mixed with something sweet. most have to have jelly with it. when we lived in Kentucky near my aunt for a while they raised sugar cane and mine had sargums on them for a while which was very good. thick like molasses and sweet like syrup

these days i prefer it alone with milk or coffee to drink. my first marriage burned me out on pb and jelly. we lived on it a lot cause we was just starting out with not much money

@bunnybon7 I just watched it now. Not very impressed with the song but I do love the different kinds of peanut butter like the singer chunky creamy etc. Watching the jars fill up on the assembly line was neat to watch.

I grew up eating tuna sandwiches for lunch at school. I also love to eat peanut butter. I have had it on bread or have had it on a spoon with chocolate spread.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who snacks on a jar of peanut butter. Now days I get acid reflux from it if it is a really oily brand. But I limit myself and only have it once in a while.
