This is a Disney Pixar film about a retired balloon salesman. I saw it several times when I worked with disabled clients, and at my brother's house.
It brought me to tears many times.
The hero, Carl, looks so much like my dad.
And my dad was a Boy Scout leader for many years.
That may be one of my favorite animated movies.
Someone had just posted an image in a meme on Facebook, and that is what brought this topic "UP".
Retired balloon salesman Carl Fredriksen and eight-year-old Russell fly toward adventure as they seek the famed Paradise Falls!

It did start a little slow, but the resemblance to my dad had me hooked.

Yes, it is. I went to a garden show the year it came out and the competitions did gardens themed to movies. I really liked this one. It was before I had seen the movie.

Yes I have seen this movie, like twice. I have had teary eyes while watching it too :(
Curious fact about this movie is that The Paradise Falls is located in Venezuela the place where I was born and raised. All people in my country were honored when watching this film and seeing there was our natural treasure in the film.

That is a fantastic movie for kids and adults! I get teary eyed with it as well. I saw it in the theater with my kids when they were small then bought it for them when it came out on DVD.
