What I Eat in a Day ~ Keto #26

Today I did my best sticking to Keto/Low carb. I actually did not cheat and eat high carb. I woke up with a blood sugar of 156. It went up from 102 before bed last night. Before I ate anything, I got in an hour workout (Zumba). For my first meal I had some pepperoni, a mozzarella cheese stick, and 1 low carb peanut butter candy. -- Blood sugar after was 102. For my next meal I had 2 slices of the fathead dough pizza & 2 small pieces of the low carb tiger fudge. -- Blood sugar after this meal was 106. Went up a little, but not a huge spike. The last meal of the day was a quesadilla made with 2 low carb tortillas (5 net carbs each), some mozzarella cheese, and ham. Also had another peanut butter candy. --Blood sugar after was 111....again not a huge spike, but should have only had 1 tortilla. Yes, I know I overdid it on the low carb "candy" today...but it happens when making a new recipe. In the future I will work better to stay under my calorie allotment. Calories for the day: 1,927 (highest day in a while....not counting cheat days) Fat: 158 grams Protein: 82 grams Carbs: 29 net grams So....did any of you have anything delicious on the menu? Did you stick to your diet if you are on one?

I'm not on a diet but I am aware of everything I eat, I should keep a list but as long as my weight stays were it should be I'm happy. I had a higher event on the scale this week and started by looking at what I was eating and it turned out to be ice cream, a new kind that was twice the calorie count of what i usually eat...

Well that is good to always be aware of what you are eating. And that sounds like a good plan to not worry about tracking things, as long as you are where you want to be! Oh yeah, sometimes foods will be tricky like that and have more calories than the kind you are used to! I bet it was delicious though!

I don't diet. I had pizza rolls for breakfast. A chicken bacon cheese sandwich for lunch and fish sticks and grits for dinner.

Doing great friend!! Glad you can be so disciplined. I am not on a diet exactly just trying to eath more healthy.

Thank you, and I am not as disciplined as I should be, need to be more strict about things in the new year. Had a cheat day today, but for now I think for sanity I will allow 1 of them a week. And that's good to hear, healthy food is good even if you are not on a diet.
