Yes; I'm an Idiot

It's been pouring rain and should have considered building an Ark. Instead, thinking the ground wasn't as saturated as it apparently was, I drove the car into the backyard to the hay barn to go feed the donkeys. The car sat for a total of 2 minutes and when I tried to back up; well guess what!!! You'd have thought I had driven into a swamp. The car has been stuck since Thursday and since it has decided to continually pour, I can't get the car out until who knows when. My first chance may not be until tomorrow to figure something out. I don't know if my neighbor has a mini tractor to do it and my friend might get stuck with his pickup trying and I sure can't afford a tow truck to do it. Yes, I'm an idiot for 'assuming' that after 20 years of living on this property that a two-minute drive would have resulted in this nightmare.

Exactly @amadeo . It's not like I don't have enough problems. Nothing like adding one more to the pile.

Everybody has moments like this. If people say that something of this calibre has never happened to them, they're lying or they're perfect - in which case they are unbearable! :-)

Well, what kan I say .... same happens here if it rains hard enough, I've seen pickups get stuck up to almost 3/4 of the back tire and of course being it's a ford f150 he had to call a tow truck for help.

I do idiotic things all the time although this was more do to weather circumstances than anything else. What do they say, "hindsight is 20/20?" There are so many times I say if I just would have done it this way.... If we could always have a do over for all those poor decisions! But I guess we would not build as much character would we, lol.

Boy have you got all that right @dgobucks226 . Even my normal sense of humor didn't stop the loud expletives that erupted from my mouth. I'm sure my neighbors 100 acres away heard me.

Oh dear, that sounds a real problem. I hope you can come up with a solution. Is there hard ground in front or behind? Can you put down branches or something on top of the mud to give the tyres traction?

It's pretty bad 2-3 feet in front and back of the front tires @JudyEv . I may try some MDF (particle board) broken up and laid in the track and hope that works.
