Changing COLOR now

the grapes

When I and my sister went to the city for church, I chanced upon checking the grapes that my big brother told me to always look after and protect from birds or bees or any flying insects. I gasped when I saw that 2 bunches of the grapes are changing color now-- it is turning violet. When we arrived home at 12:15PM, I immediately took pictures of our grapes and posted them on Facebook, tagging my 2 colleagues also because they wanted to see our grapes getting ripe. One classmate-colleague liked the pictures and asked me a cut of a vine, to which I responded that the grapevine was given to me in 1981 when I, she, and 2 other classmates had our post-graduate in Nursing practice (Rural Health Practice Program). When I tasted a piece of the violet grape before, it was not yet sweet. I think if the fruits turn dark, or purple, maybe they will be sweeter. In the meantime, I hope my big brother who discovered the fruits, will see my post on Facebook.

I envy you. When I visited the place where we used to rent before with the boyfriend. I saw that they have vineyards there, I was too curious and ask if that was a grape. A friend said it is. I was amazed because the vineyards are healthy and they are growing anywhere. How I wish I can grow it here too.

@ridingbet Yes, and I wonder why. Why is that?

@JustBhem it may be because our grapevine is not of the same variety as those like bouquets.

These I think are the purple variety and should be left on the vine till they turn colour What a happy surprise, really.

he already saw it on Facebook. every morning now, i visit these grapes and wish they won't fall to the ground yet since they are not fully ripe and soft.

Once they turn red, you still have to wait a couple of week before they are sweet to eat. Is this the first year that the vine is producing grapes?

@ridingbet I think that your country is not suitable for grapes, you are lucky to have those small grapes.

no, it is not the first time. i think it is less than 10 now, but the vine produces just small bunches of grapes.

@LadyDuck yes, but there are some places here where grapes are grown as well. in the summer capital of my country, there are cherry blossom trees, and these trees are from other countries like Japan.

our place is very hot during summer time but cold during the cold season. besides that, the vine is in a shady area.

Nice grapes yes when they are the darkest yet, they will surely be sweeter. That is a long time you had that grape vine.
