It is nice to see so many writers here who have to their credit books that are worth reading. What I fail to understand is why I am not there in that list. If I may so say myself I can write well. I have lots of ideas and material too but I simply cannot put pen to paper. How does one go about doing it Any advice?

None from me. I have the same problem. I think I'm just not motivated enough. I'm not sure what I have to say that the world needs to hear that someone else hasn't already said and probably said better. There are far too many inferior books being published today that really aren't worth reading. I don't want to add one more and I don't really want to work hard at writing a book I'd be proud to publish.

What matters is readership. If books that you say are inferior, in your opinion, sell well, that's all that matters. One man's food is another man's poison - just saying. There was a book where the author put together stories and gave it the title 'One story a day' Stories were simple but pleasant to read.

I have qutie a bit of writing but not sure what to do with it just yet. I remember a beautiful poem you wrote ages ago and so I would go ahead and keep going with what you might want to do.

Well am like you. I want to get a book published but everything stays in my mind but doesn't come in a way that I actually be able to write something up like a novel or something .

Yes, sit and wrote what is on your mind for the book, and just write it, like you are telling a story to someone.

One day you will come up with the greatest idea never been published before. God's timing is perfect they say, I agree.
