Lifestyle change

Our doctor told my husband that his cholesterol level is too high and he will have to make some lifestyle changes next year. I don't have that problem, but I would like to lose some weight and my husband and I are both going to change our eating habits and get more exercise next year. I am not a vegetarian, but I like to eat fruit and vegetables. We are going to add more of those things and eat less unhealthy food. We also want to get more exercise. I used to play badminton, but I can't play anymore because of my knees, so I want to find a different type of exercise that I enjoy. Have you changed your eating habits for health reasons or because you wanted to lose weight? How did it go?

I enjoy badminton a lot and it is also great exercise like you said. I would continue playing if I could, but I think that I can find another type of exercise that I am also going to enjoy.

@LadyDuck My brother and I used to play that. I haven't played it for years, but I used to enjoy it. I also played tennis many years ago, but I like badminton more than tennis.

I do not have a problem with weight or health, but I changed my diet so that I would not have a problem. You have my support and just be persistent.

Thank you I think it is a good idea to make changes which will prevent problems in the future like you have done. I hope that our new diet will lower my husband's cholesterol levels and help us lose weight at the same time.

@Nevena83 I think you are right about that. It is important to be persistent if we want changes. I am happy that husband and I are doing it together, that way we are able to support eachother.

That is also the main reason why I want to change my eating habits. In the past I was too skinny, now I have the opposite problem and I would like to lose some weight.

Try To avoid processed food, eat more fruits and vegetables and avoid red meat. Sometimes we just need a little change To see big differences.

We are definitely going to eat more fruits and vegetables, we already started doing it this week. I think you are right about processed food, it is a good to try to avoid that. We are also going to get more exercise.

I hope this works out for you both the new way of lifestyle Poscopino. Actually I cannot afford to eat properly here it is way too expensive. I guess we are doomed to be unhealthy.

Thanks. I also hope that we will manage to make those changes, most of all for my husband's sake. Hopefully we will both lose some weight. Healthy food can be expensive. It is actually cheaper for us to buy unhealthy food, but we will try to stick to the heathy food in 2019. Christmas food isn't exactly healthy so I think it is best to start in January instead of right now.

@Porcospino Yes, and here I also often do sports and hold back a bit of hunger, because I also don't want to see my body getting fat at the time I am too young, I will look slim and healthy when we make many changes in our lives, things like that will be better provided we diligently do it. . .

@KOLAMsegaran1 I am also doing it because of my health and my weight. I want to keep my weight down, so I think about the things I eat. I am also going to get more exercise in the future.
