I think i heard of this quote somewhere, or maybe i just made it up Anyway, this season of giving - i think what matters most is that we give wholeheartedly and not just because of duty

You are right, if we give something then give it wholeheartedly then only the receivers benefit with the same. Giving, just for the sake of giving, will not reward neither the giver nor the receiver.

Very true. It has to come from the heart and it must be done sincerely without expecting anything in return. In my culture, there is a saying that the left hand should not know what the right hand giveths.

My mom always said what you give out with your right hand don't let your left hand know.... and you shouldn't tell everyone that you gave someone something... but you should be proud of yourself... for sharing what you have.
