Hubby To The Rescue

There are times when it is very useful that I live very close to where I work, and that I have quite a lot of flexibility in my job. My wife called and said the car would not start. I figured it was probably just needing a jump since it sat all weekend for the most part, and it has been unusually cold the past couple of days. We drove my truck all weekend. Got home and gave her a jump, and the car did start. We'll see if it starts tonight when she gets off work. If not I will probably have to replace the battery. It was a bit fun, though, right before I left to say to my coworkers, "I'll be back. I am going to give my wife a quick jump."

Don't you just love those opportunities? Vince was able to say to a guy once 'That looks about plumb Bob'. He still laughs about it. I presume you know what a plumb bob is and forgive me if that sounds insulting.

@porwest Now you've got me, I can picture one but how to describe it? I'll have a go without googling a definition. A plumb bob is a weight attached to a string or cord used to get a vertical line perhaps when building. The weight ensures that the string hangs vertically. Howzat?

I am thinking I DO know what a plumb bob is. But do refresh my memory. If for no other reason that to assist others in enjoying the snark.

@porwest That is really funny. I remember growing up in MInneapolis and had a car. I had to go out at night because it sat outside to start it and warm it up awhile so it would start in the morning. Winter was the pits. I hope the car starts again.I certainly do not miss Minneapolis winters. My scooter is inside when do not use it.

@Hannihar I cannot disagree. I am glad it was solved too. Just hate having to spend money on that sort of thing...but such is life.

Yeah, it can definitely affect that as well. I am constantly checking the tires during the winter.

That's not as funny as it could have been but you have to keep things clean. Did you get razzed soon your return?

Yes. Around here they have police and they can be downright prude of course. This could have gone quite a different direction indeed. As for getting razzed, I am always getting razzed. But of course we all razz each other quite a bit.
