The Christmas Tree

Back in December of 2017 I went to the after Christmas sale to buy a new Christmas tree because they are always half price. I ended up buying a white tree. I had always wanted a white tree but I am not sure now why I never bought one. I began to use fake trees a few years back because of asthma problems, before it was a must to have a real tree, who cares if I wheezed? I also changed something else, since I was going to be bold why not? I dressed this tree minimal, just a few of the decorations that I own. It is hard to get a pretty picture of the Christmas tree, all I got was a few up close that turned out, I will take more and post the entire tree soon. Have you ever had a white Christmas tree?

Ahhh come on, not even a little tiny tree? Just sneak a little tree in among the plants and flowers.

No, my parents were traditionalists and always had the dull green one. I never ventured out and had a white one either, and right now it's a bit tough. Maybe when I rebuild my place I'll get one...your idea intrigues me and your tree is beautiful. The only three problems I can see is dust (I live in the country), cat hair (which from my discussions is obvious- come to think of it my hair too!) and finally bear hair because I work in my TV room. But when I get my own place again I'll definitely have to try the minimalist decorating.

I only keep mine up for a little while so dust is not a problem, when I take it down I do shake it before boxing it back up.

@andriaperry You'd have tons of fun with the cat hair! Petey is only in the house for a sort while and Bill's dark jackets are covered with cat hair! The teddy bear hair could be controlled by moving the workshop into the other room, but it would sneak back in little by little. I usually leave my tree up until New Year's eve. I put it up around the 23rd of December so I guess it would be safe from dust, but not the cat hair.

I like white trees but have never owned one. My husband is very traditional and we used to always go out and cut down our own real tree, until I complained about the needles dropping and still vacuuming them up months later. But even when we went to an artificial tree, he insisted on a green tall short needled tree, similar to what he'd cut down for us. Maybe one day I'll get that little while tree, my next goal is to go small.

It looks good. This is my second white one. I have thought about getting a colored one or one of those upside down ones too,

My dad always used a white Christmas tree and it was always so pretty, then my mom did the same and it was always white and purple. Your tree is very pretty.

This year I bought a flocked snow 7 foot tall Christmas tree. It is green with the look of snow on it. I got it because it was half price. I have always wanted a very big Christmas tree. Last year I was out shopping with my two children and we saw a white Christmas tree. My daughter wished us to get it however it was too expensive. It was the year of my mortgage payoff and it took time to improve my finances. I bought two small white Christmas trees. One for me and one for her. In 2004 I bought a 3 foot green Christmas tree. I have that in my son's room. I always have fake Christmas trees. I have never had a real Christmas tree.

We put up a white tree years ago which was crafted by us using bamboo and then done up with cotton.

no. have you ever seen the other trees in other colors? ive seen them in blue, red and i believe yellow. or maybe it was purple. its been a while, havent seen them in a long while. i always liked minimal decorations on a tree, it looks less busy and more robust.

We had a white one growing up. I never liked it. I liked the real ones from the woods. But I have seem some these days that are gorgeous.
