Tiny Houses

Could you live in a teeny tiny house? I have been seeing on YouTube and on the TV stories of people who have built very small houses to live in. I do think one advantage is it would force me to get rid of things I don't need. My husband says I am border line a "hoarder". Also, it would be one way for empty nesters to down size. But, some of these homes are a little too small. I do think I would need a little more room to live comfortably.
M.J. Boyle built herself a Tiny House to free her finances and THEN decided to build three more to create her own Tiny House Village! Watch to the end to hea...

It's not a tiny house, but my wife and I will be spending more and more time each year between now and retirement learning to live in a 31' long 5th wheel camper, so we have a lot we need to eliminate from our inventory of stuff before we do retire and begin life on the road.

I have often thought it would be neat to live in a camper.

@LeaPea2417 We know a lot of folks who have retired, sold their homes, bought a nice RV with all the amenities, and now live on the road. We've decided we'd like to try it.

I have seen so many different types of tiny homes. Some of them have so many neat ways to store things. Sure, there is still downsizing to be done, but there are newer and newer ways to store things in the little homes that it's worth it. Personally, I would love to have a little tiny cabin. I don't think they are built on trailers like the others but I could be wrong. Tiny homes are a topic I could talk about for ages.

I do find it fascinating when I watch the tiny house shows about the creative ways they store things.

@LeaPea2417 I haven't actually watched any of those shows, though I know there's a show about them. I think I'd rather live in a dome like structure out in the woods. Somewhat small, and with the ability to be shaded so that no one can see in.

I have lived for years in a tiny apartment and I am not ready to repeat the experience.

@LeaPea2417 26 years, in Monte-Carlo (Principality of Monaco), in that little state, unless you are as rich as a king, you can only afford a tiny apartment.

I find them quite fascinating and have read a lot about them. Still, I have so much clutter that I am pretty sure I don't want to live in one!

@LeaPea2417 I guess it would have to depend on how tiny it is and if it is on the ground or not.

I lived in a 350 sq. ft. trailer for a year. It didn't bother me at all. I was twenty, so I didn't own much.

I'm a hoarder too and I don't see myself living in a tiny house at all.

I have lived in tents, motel rooms, a shed and a trailer. I don't want to ever live in another tiny space to be honest. I have done it many times.

Most are too small for me. I do like room to stretch a little bit.

I am a fan of a FYI channel that showcases shows of tiny houses (Tiny Nation). I woukd want to experience that. I think livinh in a tiny house will lessen the unnecessary things in life and be a minimalist

I also watch videos on Youtube about tiny houses. I'm sorry that they are not popular here. They're great.

I find the idea of a tiny house appealing but in a practical sense it wouldn't work for me. I need a little more space than those tiny houses offer.

I think tiny houses are cool but I'd probably need to be on my own.

Yes most definitely could as most of my adventures in have had in life with my husband is living in a camper van going all over the place and now having a truck camper to travel in. So I don't have much stuff and would be just fine in a small space like that.

I have seen this and would love to try it out at least, I live a pretty minimal life as it is so I wouldn't have a lot to get rid of. I currently have a fairly small apartment so it wouldn't change a lot.
