I do use an online thesaurus now and then to find the right words to express my feelings correctly. Glad you have made friends with your dictionary,

I grew up speaking English, but I still refer to the dictionary or its online equivalent often to make sure I am using the correct word or using a word in the appropriate context when I am not certain about the word.

Learning English for foreign nationals is best done in a way that you like. If you are someone who learns best by talking with others, then myLot is a great place to help you learn. Learning how the language works always helps, too. Just knowing the words (such as learning from a dictionary, might not be the best way to learn the language) doesn't help you know where in a sentence they need to go or how a native English speaker would say them. Most words can sound wrong or confuse people if they are placed in a sentence in the wrong order. One of my friends is a lady on myLot called @vandana7. (She is actually my fiance. ) Sometimes she follows me around seeing what I'm talking about with other people here. She's hoping to pick up new words she hasn't encountered before.) She can be really funny most of the time. vanny should show up here soon and she will tell you some more about English and may tell you some small amount about avoiding talking to me unless you like sharks. (which she doesn't!!!) *really grinning at you* I own a pair of walking sharks. (Epaulette Sharks) I learned English from my parents. Of course, I also learned many words I use in the English language from a dictionary. (I don't know if you've come across the term "hillbilly" yet. If you haven't, please look the word up. It may give you some insight about me that will help you when talking with me here.)

@KOLAMsegaran1 Hmmm... you realize that all of us here on myLot will do our best to help you, right? It is one of the things we do here. If you need to learn new words, look for those of us who incorporate words you may not have come across in our daily conversations. You are always welcome to ask us to stop and explain any words you don't recognize. We all want to help you as much as you want our help!

It's good to learn English in the way you want it. I do not use an app or dictionary, but I spend time on sites like mylot where English is spoken. I'd like to learn English.

No, I learnt English in school, I had a British teacher. A dictionary is only good to learn words, to learn a language listen to English movies, read books, get the habit to listen to the different accents.

I like learning any language more with interaction rather than any book. However one can get nuances of language grammar only through book or dictionary.
