The swim at Paka beach was the best day I've had in a long time, just Polo, his sister and me. Priya packed a picnic that we ate on the rocks under the trees after swimming way out beyond the point and back, and we pent the rest of the afternoon talking and sleeping. Polo got us to leave at just the right time so that we were pulling into the harbor just as the sun was balancing on the horizon and it lit up the whole village and the hills around like they were on fire. Later at the Bowdowner bar on the jetty Charles and his band were playing and Kendo sailed up beside the jetty late and off-loaded crates of stuff and bought us all drinks and the band just kept on playing.
