You may have heard of the Banaue Rice Terraces-- tagged as 8th wonder of the world. But maybe you don't know yet we have lots of it, rice terraces-- especially mini rice terraces. Its all over the mountainous area of northern Philippines. In fact even in my province we have lots of it. Because our place is dominantly a farming area. People used to make lots of ricefields not only in the vast plain area but even in the slope of the mountain. Rice terraces usually in a slope of a soily mountain and where there's spring of water. A community usually live there. I took the photo yesterday in a community where they grow rice.

@ilocosboy I'm sure they are. And the men of the village were very skilled at determining the levels of the terraces so the water would run from one terrace to the next and flood it all equally.

I’ve only seen rice terraces in China and thought they were so lush, green and beautiful. They looked very much like yours.
