Why did I do that?

Not sure how many of you are going to relate to this but... Let me start by saying I use to eat McDonald's a lot and I know it's not good for me but I still did. When I say a lot, I was there for a while going like 2 - 3 times a week and I don't know why. I knew it was bad I was having stomach issues and gaining weight, so I finally said I'm going to stop. I quit going it's been about 6 months since I went, my stomach was better and I lost a few pounds just from not eating there any more. Well today I really had a taste for it, yes I know that is crazy cause their food is really not that good. Well, I figured, "Alright, just this once". I mean one time every 6 months would be alright. So I got my Double Quarter Pounder with cheese and a french fry. Even as I was ordering it I thought to myself, "this is not going to be as good as I am remembering it", I was already regretting my choice before I even got the food. It was already to late to back out, I already ordered it and was waiting for it. The first bite was good I was like "Yes! this is awesome" but then by like the 4th bite of the burger I was like "oh my god the is disgusting". The french fries were already getting cold, so they were terrible, the burger was this grease filled sponge. I think I could hear myself getting fatter with each bite. I only made it through half the burger before I just threw the rest away. The fries I only had a few before they were to cold to eat and the Dr. Pepper I had gotten had so much ice in it that it only mildly tasted like Dr. Pepper by time I threw the burger away the drink was so watered down that it was basically colored water. I had went from being addicted to McDonalds to utterly appalled by it. How could I have been addicted to it? I don't know for sure but I can tell you it will be at least another 6 months before I try it again.

It is weird what you say, but with a friend we thought that they add to their food something that make people "addicted". I would love to much to have their food analyzed in a serious independent laboratory.

@Bensen32 The fact is that my friend told me the same, I do not like a lot the taste, it gives me stomach ache, but at least a couple of times a month I crave for it.

I guess that might be true, I never really thought about that all I know for sure is it can't be good for you.

Because they put something in your food that makes you wanting food from there.. no joke, so since you don't eat it no more you got it out of your system and you could taste all the chemical they add to it.

i havent eaten at mcdonalds since i was a kid. i never liked it, but my mom thought i was just being a kid. once y ou dont eat your average fast food of choice for a long while, your taste buds and stomach will change. i wont be surprised if you never go back again to mcdonalds.
