Went to a sushi restaurant but forgot to use my $10 coupon

I got a coupon for $10 off at a sushi restaurant (Ocean Sushi). I went there tonight for dinner. After my husband paid the bill I remembered that I forgot to give them the coupon. And he didn't remind me either. I told him to go back to the cashier and tell her we forgot to give the coupon. So, he did just that. They couldn't take off the $10 from the total because they had already swiped the card. What they did was increase the expiration date of the coupon so I have a whole extra month to use it. Hopefully, when I come back next time, and I most likely will because I love this place, I will remember to use the coupon. Too bad they couldn't just refund me $10. That would be too good to be true...
