I like listening to Pandora radio. Most of the time I have it on shuffle so it goes through all my stations. Stations are basically a band, artist, or genre so much stations are emo, black veil brides, Hamilton (I have spent too many hours listening to that), todays music, and several others. Me being addicted to random number generators, it helps me pick out what I want to listen to. So it picked out the Anime Radio station! Which I am totally cool with because I love Japanese music. Being a "foreign" radio it also likes to toss in some other music which is always welcomed. While listening something strange happened. Red Hot Chili Peppers popped up. Yes, those Red Hot Chili Peppers. On the anime station. I heard a certain "twang" in the beginning of the song and if you know Red Hot Chili Peppers you know the twang I am talking about and I looked up so confused. It played Venice Queen Which is a very beautiful and sad song. I'm just wondering, how the heck did it get onto the ANIME station. The anime station plays songs from Naruto or video game music. And then I remembered. Red Hot Chili Peppers did have a song in one of the Death Note movies. (not the Netflix original, we don't talk about that). It was Dani California https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb5aq5HcS1A I believe it was the ending credits in the 1st movie after a certain character...dies. (We also don't talk about that) But it does sum up the movie perfectly. But would that have really made it play on the anime radio? I told my mom and she reminded me that Flea the bassist has voiced thing. I don't know if he has voiced any anime characters but that does kind of help a little bit. He voice Donnie Thornberry from The Wild Thornberries which just makes that show even more perfect. I adored The Wild Thornberries as a kid, no wonder my love for Tim Curry is so strong. So yeah! That was my discovery, I thought I would share that with you and also you get some Red Hot Chili Peppers in your life which should always make their way into your life every once in a while.

That's one of the reasons I don't bother with those services. My definition of "country music" is vastly different from the mainstream music world's definition, so I pick "classic country" and they start playing Garth Brooks and Shania Twain.

I don't mind it. I think it is funny and I like trying to make sense why that music is playing.
