St Helena Island

Have you heard of the very remote island called St Helena Island in the South Atlantic Ocean? It is a British Territory and it is that island that Nepoleon Bonaparte was exiled to way back in history.
There is a small population and it used to be that the island was only accessible by boat, but now in the past year or two, they have opened their first airport.
If you would visit, you would have to fly to South Africa first, and change planes that would then fly to St. Helena Island.

@LeaPea2417 I spent a couple fo months working in the Falkland Islands and the plane stopped at Ascension on the outbound and return legs. The first stop was only for a couple of hours, but the return leg we stayed overnight. Didn't see much of the island, sadly

Yes, I also read that the island has the world's most remote golf course on it. My son would love to visit that since he likes to play golf.

I agree, before the airport came, the only way was by catching a boat in South Africa and the boat trip would take one week to get to the island.
