Favorite Bands with Colorado Ties #8 - All

After two days of honest to God, real country-style music, we now offer proof that there is more to the Colorado music scene. I am counting down my favorite bands with Colorado ties, and we are at #8: All. The All story begins in Los Angeles, with the legendary punk band, The Descendents. When that band's vocalist, Milo Aukerman, left the group to pursue a degree in biochemistry (The Descendents 1987 album, Milo Goes to College, is one of my favorite punk records,) that band went into hiatus. Guitarist Stephen Egarton, bassist Karl Alvarez, and drummer Bill Stephenson soldiered on, grabbing former Dag Nasty vocalist Dave Smalley, took the title of The Descendents' 1987 album, All, as their name, and continued creating great punk rock. (Aukerman returned to The Descendents after earning his degree, and Stephenson, Alvarez, and Egerton have since been recording and touring as members of both groups.) Punk bands tour. A lot. To make, location-wise, touring the rest of the country easier, All eventually moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado (a great college town, home of Colorado State University,) where they are still based, although it appears that All is, with the exception of occasional live shows, currently on hiatus. All has released nine studio albums, two live albums, one EP, and six singles. They own their own Ft. Collins recording studio, The Blasting Room, where both All and The Descendents have since recorded all of their albums (Less than Jake, Drag the River, Rise Against, and Propagandhi, among others, have also made records there.) The band also runs their own record label, Owned and Operated. All. Making Colorado proud since 1994! (Info verified by Wikipedia)

@FourWalls - I saw that. I gave it a like, but for some reason, when I saw it again this morning, my like wasn't there. Weird.

It did bring a smile that some 'nasty' punk rocker is qualified for a white collar profession!

Punk rockers are actually a lot smarter than people think. They are definitely more socially conscious than the average citizen, who is usually only concerned about themselves.
