There is a wedding right across my house. You can see the bridal car parked almost touching our gate.
Yes I am invited for that wedding but I do no go for weddings and such events that involve spending hours at a go.
But those who invite me understand and to top it all they will come for parties that I organise

Indian weddings go on too long. I agree with you. We have been invited to three this year. My wife will go but fortunately I am not!
