Tea Snobbery Top Ten: Licorice Spice (#7)

As the hours wane in 2018 I'm getting ready to have some tea. That means you get to enjoy another cup of my countdown of my favorite tea flavors. I do realize that some of these might sound yucky if you're considering what a similarly-named candy might taste like, but it's not that way with the tea. Here's a really good case in point. #7: Licorice Spice No, this tea does not taste like candy. Yes, it does have a licorice flavor to it, but not like biting into a Good 'n' Plenty. It does have a slightly sweet flavor to it as well, but as I said it's not an overpowering artificially-flavored candy feeling. I found this in a tea aisle by accident one day and thought it might taste good. I was wrong. It tastes great. Of course, you have to have an appreciation for licorice to enjoy it, but still I find it quite enjoyable. Additionally, I think it's very soothing to a sore throat. There's something about licorice that does that to the throat. Not everybody's cup of tea, pardon the pun, but it is mine!
