This may be a bit late, I have seen the movie last year but forgot to make a review about it 
It is the first DC film i have actually watched in theaters since i am a fan of Momoa. I'm not really familiar with the character itself, but Momoa makes him likable and relate able. it helps that his mom is Nicole Kidman too
The movie was quite colorful and also the right amount of action and comedy. I love all of the underwater scenes so much.
This is a must watch indeed.

I can say this is one film I watched and enjoyed I was just about to drop off near the end when it livened up and kept me awake for the last few moments. It was a nice film for me although I dare say many others would not like it.

@lady1993 I'm not familiar with the character either. I have heard Aquaman being mentioned on other TV shows but didn't know what it was. I wouldn't mind seeing the movie but would also like to see what else there is to watch to become more familiar with the character. Glad you enjoyed it.
