Our tradition is not to spend a penny on New Year's day due to the belief that we will not be spending much the rest of the year, but we tend to overspend before that because we fill our tables with much foods which become left overs after the New Year.

That is very practical. With Christmas and New Year a week apart, it's most likely to still have plenty of left overs. Have a bountiful 2019 and beyond.

That is true. I spent a lot of money this holiday season but I wouldn't change a thing. It was a wonderful time and lots of great memories were made.

For as long as there is enough money to spend, it does fell great to splurge on something.
