Meal Plans and Exercise

I started back on low carb Tuesday (January 1st) so it has almost been a week that I have been back on it. I want to start working out again, and am wondering if I should start this week, or give it one more week. I probably will start this coming week, but which day will depend when we are able to go on our big shopping trip. The workouts I do are kickboxing (Tae-Bo) and dancing (Zumba, Just Dance, etc). Do you do those? If not, what is your favorite way to work out? Eventually I would like to do some weight lifting, just not heavy weights of course. Also, I need to figure out a meal plan for the week. I usually don't do that and then I have a hard time coming up with a meal for that night and don't choose the best food (still have kept it low carb). I have ground beef, different cuts of steak, pork chops, liver, and salmon. I guess I should look through Pinterest and google for some recipes. I won't have veggies in any of the dishes....but soon I will start having a green smoothie as lunch or a side to dinner. If you know of any good meals, I'd be interested in hearing them!

Congrats on getting a week done. What is your long term goal? I once did a no carbohydrate regimen for 2 weeks and lost a noticeable amount of weight, this was without exercise. I was eating cheese omelettes or scrambled eggs and bacon and for lunch or dinner a scoop of tuna salad, which I found to be very filling. Good luck with your endeavor.

Thank you! Well I have a lot of weight to lose, so that is a big goal...and get my diabetes under control. Hopefully change my eating habits too (start liking veggies). That's good that you did a no carb diet for 2 weeks....it is a good way to lose weight for sure...it can definitely be done without exercise. Sounds like good meals though, and yes, protein and fat can be very filling! Thank you for the luck :)

I have severe psoriatic arthritis and can't do what I use to. I do have a Wii and sometimes do a few Just Dance. I stretch and walk. Swim and some weights but have to be light. I love to dance but can't like I used to.

I am with you on this. I still stick to eating well-balanced diet food and do some exercises. Planning to trim down a bit.
