Winter is coming back

The last couple of weeks it has been pretty nice weather around here, well at least for this time of year. Here in Chicago this time of year we usually have had snow and cold temps in December and this time we have not had much snow at all. The last few weeks it seems the temps have been in the 40's and even Monday it got to 55F when is normally January is in the 30's or below. Well this morning I woke up to 19F, I'm not complaining as the cold weather doesn't really bother me. Also the fact that December should have been a lot colder. We got lucky with the nicer, warmer weather. Winter is finally getting here although there is no snow in the forcast in the next week. I like living in this area due to the weather change. I know a lot of people don't understand why I like winter but here is my reason. I like the change, by time I am sick of the hot weather winter comes around and when I grow tired of the cold summer comes around. We rarely get extreme weather on either side. In summer we might have a few days over 100F (37.7C) and winter we will get a few days that go below 0F (32C). The snow fall is not to bad compared with some places. Our annual snow fall averages about 36in (91cm). This might sound like a lot to some but this is over about a 5 month period so it's not like it is all at one time. How is your weather?
