waiting in EONS!

While I was in the bathroom, the landline phone rang. My sister answered and could not hear what the caller was mumbling, but when I went out of the restroom, she mentioned to me about a bank where I opened a debit card on. I realized I have not visited the bank for more than a year because I used my other bank (Land Bank of the Philippines) to withdraw some amount from PayPal. I made a rush decision to go to the city and sort out the problem with the bank (RCBC-MyWallet). There was no problem but I deposited so PayPal can verify my account for my future withdrawals from this site through PayPal to this bank. Then at 11AM, I went to the billing office of our electric cooperative. I had #146. It was #80, so I thought it will be fast because there were 2 employees in the counter. Alas! It was 1PM and still my number was not yet called. I stood up and looked at these 2 ladies. They were so lax and so slow in attending to the customers’ needs. Their break time, although alternate, was 1 hour each. I had to express my dismay with a “Ano ba yan?” (What is this?) Finally, I am done at 2:30 PM. it was a 3 and a half waiting in that billing office. The 2 ladies are about to reach their retirement years. They did not bother checking on us who were waiting patiently for our numbers. Normally, with #80 to #146, it should take only more than an hour and a half to finish off. I went home and my sister did not yet have her lunch. We ate at 2:45 PM.
